What is CAT ?

The Common Admission Test (CAT) is an entrance exam for MBA colleges in India. It was first introduced in October 2015 by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT). 

The CAT is divided into five sections: mathematics, reasoning, English language and literature, biology, and chemistry. Each team must complete one mandatory paper and two optional papers. The total number of questions in all papers is much over 20000.

The CAT is a computer-based examination. Candidates have two hours to finish the exam. The CAT is conducted in English. Candidates must have a good command of the language to be successful on the test. The CAT is open to all students who have passed the Class 10th board examination and are seeking admission in any of the undergraduate or postgraduate programs at the IITs. The CAT score is used as a criterion for admissions in most of the colleges and universities in India, offered by the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs).
